Draft Makes Impression on Cyrus Hobbi
After how last season went it is no secret that the Sooners are looking to add to their depth on the offensive line. While Oklahoma did sign five quality linemen in the 2010 class, offensive line coach James Patton is still looking for his first verbal commitment for the class of 2011 and hopes to see his luck change with the Sooners' most recent offer - Scottsdale (Ariz.) Saguaro offensive guard Cyrus Hobbi.
Hobbi last talked to Patton on Monday when he received the official offer from Oklahoma in the mail.
"I was pretty excited. Oklahoma is a great program and the thing that struck me most was the last draft and how many guys they had in the first round and not just in the first round, but the whole draft," the 6-foot-4, 285-pounder recalled.
