It has been a long time since Virginia offered Statesville (N.C.) South Iredell linebacker LaChaston Smith but the high three-star prospect still remembers how excited he was when that happened.

After all the Cavaliers were the first offer for Smith, who was one of the standouts at the recent Rivals.com/VTO Sports Combine in Charlotte.
