Perkins plans to enroll next week
Adarrius Perkins was a do it all athlete at Forrest County (Miss.) Agricultural High School suiting up at multiple positions on both sides of the ball for the Aggies.
But Mississippi State has definite plans for the now 6-foot-2, 225-pounder. The Bulldogs intend to use Perkins in the role Malcolm Johnson and Brandon Hill are as a hybrid tight end/ receiver.
Perkins will move from Brooklyn to Starkville on Sunday and get his first taste of MSU football on Monday with his first workout.
"I really don't know how I feel," Perkins said. "I was excited and I was nervous at one point but now I guess it's just a normal feeling."
Perkins has put on 40-pounds since the season ended in order to adjust to his new position by following the workout plan sent to him by Bulldog strength coordinator Matt Balis and his staff.
