Dantonio's on-field offer makes impression on Marshall

SpartanMag.com PONTIAC - Southfield High's Lawrence Marshall may have been off the radar of some recruiting analysts last summer, but the 6-foot-4, 205-pound defensive end has emerged as one of the most sought-after recruits in the state of Michigan for the Class of 2014.
Marshall holds offers from Michigan State, Michigan, Syracuse, Pittsburgh and several Mid-American Conference programs.
Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio offered the Southfield standout before the Spartans' game against Nebraska on Nov. 3.
Marshall was with other recruits watching pre-game warm-ups when Dantonio called him off the sideline onto the field to extend an offer.
