Virginia Tech received five official visits this weekend. The star player making his way to Blacksburg was Gaston (N.C.) Northampton West offensive center Desmond Roberts. Heading into the visit the 6-foot-5, 265-pounder was still committed to North Carolina State, is that the case now?

"I had a good visit, it was real nice at Virginia Tech," he said. "I got there on Friday night and mostly hung out with the players a bit, met with the coaches, checked out the academic support and saw what the campus is like. It was real nice. I had been up there during the spring game and a lot has changed. They added on to the stadium, it was nice to see those things."
