Cyclones get the total guard in Brister

Iowa State's latest basketball commitment is a somewhat unexpected addition to the class of 2007. Duncanville (Tex.) guard Marcus Brister completed a quick recruiting process with ISU by making a verbal commitment while in town for a visit this past weekend.

Brister, who is 6-foot-3 and 205 pounds according to God's Academy prep school head coach Tim Miller, first received contact from Iowa State in December and already had his mind made up before making his official visit over the weekend. He also received offers from Nebraska, Cincinnati and Southern University.
