Nikola Dragovic's long journey back

It appeared that senior defensive end Nikola Dragovic found a home at defensive end his sophomore season. He was so good that he even beat out All-American defensive end Justin Hickman. Before Dragovic injured his ACL, he was leading the Bruins in sacks.

When Dragovic went down in his sophomore year an already depleted defensive line corps was hurt further still and a bad defense became even worse.

Once Hickman really became healthy himself at the end of the year, he began to look like the player he was his senior season when he earned All-American honors and Dragovic while still nursing his knee was relegated to spot duty as a junior.
