Iowa State offers in-state guard Gibbs

Being an integral cog in your team's state championship run will get you noticed a little. Playing well at major AAU basketball tournaments in the spring will get you noticed a lot. That's what Marion (Iowa) Linn-Mar combo guard Grant Gibbs has learned this spring in a big way. Gibbs received one scholarship offer following Linn-Mar's dominant performance in the Class 4-A state tournament. But things really heated up later in the spring.

Gibbs is a 6-foot-5, 190-pounder that will be able to play the shooting guard and point guard spots at the next level, according to Linn-Mar head coach Chris Robertson. After picking up an offer from Northern Iowa in the days following the state tournament, Gibbs has added three more recent offers including the biggest one - from Iowa State.
