After a regular 11-period practice, the team made the short walk to Doak Campbell Stadium for a half scrimmage.
Once again, the offense got the best of the matchup but this time it was the second team unit that shined. Under the guidance of walk-on quarterback Corey Eddinger, the second team offense knocked out two quick touchdowns on its first series.
The ball got rolling when running back Ty Jones found a gap in the line and made quick work of a defensive back in the open field en route to a 54-yard touchdown run. On the very next play, Eddinger hit fellow walk-on Louis Givens on a short route that was almost broken up, but the speedy wideout was able to come up with the loose ball and then dashed 65-yards for another score.
