After a long offseason and what probably seemed like an even longer training camp during these hot and humid summer weeks, Kareem Martin is finally poised to take the field as a high school senior.

It will be the 6-foot-6, 222-pound defensive end's farewell tour as a student and football player at Roanoke Rapids High School, so undoubtedly it is a bittersweet time.
