September 16, 2010Last year the Future 150 Camp stop in Houston had some of the top players attend from the class of 2011 and 2012. With players like 6-foot-6 wing Sheldon Mclendon (Texas commit),6-foot-7 wing forward Wannah Bail (2012), PG Rasheed Sulaimon (2012), combo DeAngelo Harrison (Top 30) and others, it was one of the top regional camps of 2009.
2010 was just as good with several of the Lone Star state's top young players in attendance.
Justin Jackson-(2014- Home School Christian Youth Association, TX) the 6-foot-5 inch SG may have been the best overall prospect in the camp. He has range beyond the arc and at one point in the Top 20 game he made four straight 3 point shots. He showed a very good floater and despite his slender build was not afraid to mix it up. Unselfish almost to a fault, Jackson is a high major prospect.
Trey Guidry-(2012-St. Pius X, TX) the 6-foot-5 inch SG loves to get out and run the floor while using his athleticism to finish at the rim. He proved that he can knock down shots not only in the mid range but from the 3 point arch as well. Guidry was one of the top athletes at the camp. He holds offers from the likes of Stanford, Texas A&M, Houston and Texas Tech.
Malik Morgan-(2012-John Curtis Christian, LA) scored the ball well all weekend. The 6-foot-3 lefty uses his strength to get into the lane and finish with contact. He likes the challenge of defending the other teams best player. He rebound's the ball extremely well from the guard position. Morgan has an offer from Tulane and is hearing from Washington, Texas A&M and Boston College among others.
Josh Hagins-(2012-Airline H.S.,LA) the 6-foot 1 inch PG loves to play defense and guard the best player on the other team. He has long arms and some of the quickest hands we have seen in a long time. He has great anticipation whether on the ball or as a help defender. He has a great feel for the game and sees the floor extremely well when creating for his teammates. Hagins has a great mid range game and made the 3 point shot with consistency all weekend.
Christian Sanders-(2014-Bellaire H.S., TX) the 6-foot-3 inch SF was the only other freshman to make the Top 20 game. He scored from all 3 levels on the floor. Sanders showed he has good athleticism which allowed him to guard stronger players.
Danuel House-(2012-Hightower H.S., TX) the 6-foot-6 inch SG is a long rangy player that runs the floor and finishes well at the rim. He is a tenacious shot blocker when protecting the rim on the break. His length and athleticism allows him to guard multiple positions on the floor. House is hearing from Oregon, UTA, TCU, North Texas, Notre Dame and Texas A&M among others.
Donald Thomas-(2012-Riverside Academy, LA) the 6-foot-7 inch SF is a solid defender and has the size to guard multiple positions. He shoots the ball well from all 3 levels and rebounds well on the offensive glass. Added strength will elevate his game.
Daryl Milburn-(2012-McKinnely H.S., LA), the 6-foot-2 inch SG is a strong bodied guard that got it going in the Top 20 game as he and Jackson carried their underdog East team to a buzzer beating victory. Milburn hit the game winner from just beyond the top of the key for the two point victory. Milburn is a shot maker who can attack the basket, a solid passer and a good athlete.
Gervaugn McGee-(2012-Redemtress H.S., LA) 6-foot-4 inch SG played well all weekend long. He has a nice frame and good athleticism which allows him to finish at the rim and guard multiple positions. He shot the ball well from mid range and with more consistency from the 3 point line, McGee proves to be a solid DI prospect.
Erron Chesterfield-(2012-Glen Oaks H.S., LA) the 6-foot-6 inch SF is a long rangy player that showed good athleticism. He likes to play in transition and get to the rim on the break. Chesterfield also proved he can make shots from the perimeter with consistency.
Joshua Ivory-(2012-Peabody Magnet H.S., LA) the 6-foot-2 inch PG was one of tougher more physical guards at the camp. The lefty gets to the basket and finishes. He can also knock down jumpers from the arc and midrange. Ivory proved he has the quickness to be a top notch defender.
Barrington Stevens-(2011-Allen H.S., TX) the 5-foot-11 inch PG does a good job of getting into the lane and seeing the open pass. His mid range game has become his go to shot which me makes with regularity. He has a great feel for the game and is an excellent on the ball defender.
DeMarco Henry-(2011-Hastings H.S., TX) the 6-foot-8 inch PF showed a nice game with his back to the basket. He has a variety of moves he uses when attacking the rim. He also has a nice face up game. Henry rebound's the ball well on both ends of the floor.
DJ Griggs-(2012-Brazoport H.S., TX) the 6-foot PG was one of the more electric ball handlers in the camp. He showed a great change of pace in his game and has a great feel when distributing the ball to his teammates. Griggs showed he can score on all three levels and has the ability to finish with contact.
Michael Lewis-(2012-Christian Life, TX) the 6-foot-9 inch PF is extremely long player who can block a ton of shots. He plays well with his back to the basket and has a nice jump baby hook. He rebounds well on both ends of the floor.
Carl Culberson-(2012-St. Pius X H.S., TX) the 6-foot PG has a good feel for the game and handles the ball well. He scored on all three levels all weekend long and seemed to make his teammates around him better when he was on the floor. Culberson is a solid defender and showed good athleticism when rebounding the ball.
Lucas Martin-(2012-Riverside H.S., LA) the 6-foot-2 inch SG was one of best defenders at the camp. He has long arms that seemed to cut down passing lanes as he got steal after steal. He has good quickness and got to the rim with ease. He rebounds well from the guard position.
Dustin Adams-(2012- Salmen H.S., LA) the 6-foot-6 inch SF showed he could play inside and out. He has a nice post up game where he used his strength and body to score. He has a nice jump hook with both hands and can put it on the floor when attacking the basket. Adams rebounds the ball well on both ends of the floor.
Jordan Washington-(2012-Ranchview H.S., TX) the 5-foot-11 inch PG showed good quickness with the ball in his hands and seemed to see the floor well in transition as well as the half court. He has a nice mid range game and got in the lane with regularity. He has a solid all around game.
Sam Kinlaw-(2011-La Marque H.S., TX) the 6-foot-7 inch PF is a long rangy player who has a 7-foot wing span and uses every inch to block shots. He rebound's the ball on both ends of the floor and runs floor well in transition. He showed good athleticism when attacking the basket.
Royce O'Neale-(2011-Harker Heights H.S., TX) the 6-foot-5 inch SF is a big bodied and physical player that shot the ball well all weekend. He rebound's the ball well for his position. O'neale has the quickness to guard multiple positions on the floor.
Josh Gray-(2012) the 6-foot-1 inch PG showed good ball handling skills. His strong frame and quickness allowed him to guard both guard positions. He shot the ball well from mid range and was able to finish in a variety of way at the rim when attacking defenders off the bounce.
