North Carolina: Carolina is coming off a dominating offensive performance in a 48-34 victory over Virginia Tech. The 48 points are the most ever scored against Virginia Tech in an ACC game. Tailback Giovani Bernard gained 262 rushing yards, the fifth-highest total in UNC history and the most ever against a Hokie defense. Bernard had a 62-yard touchdown run on fourth and inches and later added a 51-yard run to set up another touchdown. QB Bryn Renner ran for a TD and passed for another, while WR Sean Tapley scored on a pass reception and a 94-yard kickoff return. The Tar Heels held the Hokies to 264 yards through the first three quarters and 394 for the game.

UM: Senior CB Brandon McGee recorded a career-best nine tackles against Notre Dame. Eight of the tackles were solo and one was for a four yard loss.
UM: With 168.3 all-purpose yards per game, RB Duke Johnson ranks 14th nationally among FBS players (ﬁrst in the ACC) and leads all freshmen in that category.
UM: Four different Hurricanes have receptions of 50 yards or more on the season. WR Rashawn Scott (76 yards, 52), WR Phillip Dorsett (65, 62), TE Clive Walford (56) and RB Duke Johnson (50) each have 50-yard receptions.
UM: The Hurricanes are the only team in the nation to have two RBs that have scored at least four touchdowns in a game this season. Duke Johnson scored four times against Bethune-Cookman on Sept. 15 and Mike James scored four at Georgia Tech a week later.
UNC: Carolina is +5 in turnover margin this season, which ranks first in the ACC and 23rd in the nation.
UNC: TB Giovani Bernard ranks 16th at UNC in career rushing yards with 1,728. He is 18 yards shy of 15th and 45 shy of 14th. Bernard's 9.1 average rushing yards per carry leads the nation, but he is just shy of the qualifying mark for the official NCAA statistics (play in 75 percent of your team's games). His 262 rushing yards vs. Virginia Tech is the second-best individual performance this season in the country.
UNC: Carolina is averaging more than 250 yards passing (286.3) and 200 yards rushing (200.3). UNC is one of only 10 FBS schools and one of just three ACC schools (FSU, Clemson) averaging at least 250 passing and 200 rushing.
UNC: In the second half, Carolina is outscoring its opponents 119-24, including an 83-6 mark in the third quarter. The only score allowed in the third quarter was a Virginia Tech kickoff return touchdown.
UNC: QB Bryn Renner leads the ACC and is tied for fifth in the country with 15 touchdown passes. He has had multiple passing TDs in four of six games this season and 13 times in his career. Renner has not thrown an interception in three of his last four games.
UNC: Carolina leads the ACC and is 11th in the nation in sacks allowed per game. Sylvester Williams is third overall and first among defensive tackles in the ACC with 5.0 sacks.
UNC: CB Jabari Price ranks second in the ACC and 21st in the country in passes defended. Price also leads the Tar Heels in tackles with 40.
