January 2, 2009MORE: White team | Black team | UA rosters | Army AA Bowl coverage | More all-star coverage
LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. - For this week, Orlando, Fla., is the home to a number of the nation's best wide receivers, at the Under Armour All-America Game. Among the talented wideouts playing on Sunday night is four-star Marlon Brown.
"It is fun," Brown said of the event. "You realize just how difficult the next level is going to be when you are competing against nothing but guys who will play at the next level."
Following Friday's practice, the Memphis (Tenn.) Harding Academy product talked a bit about his recruitment.
"Right now I have a top four of Ohio State, Georgia, Florida, and Tennessee," Brown said. "They are all even."
Brown has previously mentioned plans to visit LSU but on Friday did not mention the Tigers among the programs he is still considering.
He talked about visits he has taken and visits he will take in the near future.
"I have visited Georgia and Ohio State. I am visiting Florida on the 24th of January and Tennessee on the 30th," Brown said. "At Georgia I liked the coaches a lot. I like the coaches at Ohio State as well. Honestly, I like the coaches and the players at all of the schools. They are like a family. I am looking for that."
The Rivals100 prospect not only shines on the gridiron but also enjoys playing a bit of roundball. He hasn't ruled out the possibility of continuing his two-sport career in college.
"I don't know yet," Brown said. "I would like to do it. If a school is interested in me doing that I am definitely going to listen to the idea."
As for when he will stop listening to what schools have to offer and finally make a decision, that won't happen until the first Wednesday in February.
"I am going to decide on Signing Day," Brown said. "I am going to talk to my grandmother and my head football coach to help me decide."
