It's 3:42 p.m., and East Carolina leads Cornell 10-6 as the teams prepare
to play the ninth inning.

The loser is eliminated. The winner advances to Sunday's 1 p.m. elimination game.

Carolina will play St. John's at 6, of course, and this is the big game each year during this tournament format. Whoever wins will sit and watch the elimination game on Sunday afternoon and then play the winner of that game at 6 p.m.

If UNC wins today, it will have regular starter Benton Moss (6-2, 1.97 ERA) ready to go.

Carolina regular Friday starter, Kent Emanuel (8-4, 2.03 ERA) will start today's game at 6 p.m.

I cannot believe that the 'Heels gave this one up. I just watched it and I still can't believe it. Kid has hit 2 HR's all year long and hits the walk off to send us to the loser's bracket.

It isn't impossible to advance, but the 'Heels just made it a WHOLE lot more difficult. Gotta suck it up and win 3 more games now or the season is done.

I can't believe this. I am in complete shock right now.

Should've left Emanual in the game, stupid, stupid move. I swear, sometimes Fox has brain farts.
