Kansas City superstar Talks Norman Visit
For months Oklahoma has been pursuing Kansas City (Mo.) Rockhurt standout Dan Tapko. For that same amount of time most were under the impression the 6-foot-4, 220-pound prospect was being pursued as a defensive end by the Sooners but according to Tapko that's not entirely true.
In fact Tapko has always seen himself as a pass-rusher but admits with some advice from Rockhurst head coach Tony Severino a few years ago his entire football future took a change of plan.
"From the very beginning, I thought I was a defensive end but coach Severino always saw me as this big ole lumbering tight end and I said 'ok, I'll play wherever you want me to play'. And then when I started to be recruited coaches said they thought I'd be a great looking tight end," Tapko explained.
