Tillman taking in Starkville

Bo Tillman was one of Mississippi's top prospects as a four-star rated offensive tackle coming out of Franklin County in 2008.

Now the 6-foot-6, 275-pounder is projected to be one of the state's top defensive tackle recruits coming out of Copiah-Lincoln Community College.

Tillman signed with Southern Miss out of high school but failed to qualify. He is now hearing mainly from another instate program.

"Mainly I've been getting a lot of letters but I don't think but one team has offered me and that's Mississippi State," Tillman said. "They are one of my top schools because they've offered. Right now the only place I'm coming to is Mississippi State."

Tillman has been spending a lot of time in Starkville of late with much of it coming on the MSU campus.

"I've been to Starkville about six times in the last month or two," Tillman said. "I was there two weekends ago. I came up there for blue and white but didn't get to make it to practice. I wanted to but I didn't wake up the next day until 11. I didn't make it this weekend because my sister wanted me to come to her track meet. I wanted to come to the maroon and white game but she had been asking me all week about it."

Tillman has plenty of friends on the Bulldogs roster including Damein Anderson, Charles Mitchell, Tobias Smith and former high school teammate Michael Hunt.
