CenTex running back surprised by early offer
Wimberley, Texas running back Dennis Smith may only be a sophomore, but he played well enough this past season to be named the District 8-3A Offensive MVP. It was already his second year on the varsity squad for the Texans.
Because he has been starring for the Central Texas school for two years, the 6-foot-2, 210-pound back is already a well-known commodity among college coaches that recruit the state. Recently, Smith had a chance to check out an in-state program on an unofficial visit and he came away with some surprising news.
