Okotcha Puts on a Show in Norman

Many saw it coming, some saying it was even imminent, but none can say that Josh Turner's commitment to Texas did not hurt at all. The Sooner State's best player not only went to another team in the Big 12 South last week but also went to the Sooners' biggest rival.

With a clear vacancy now at defensive back for the 2011 class, Oklahoma has explored several different avenues to fill the void left by Turner. A few, such as Sooner-legacy Tevin Mitchell, have previously committed to other schools, while some like Charles Jackson are still up for grabs but are on hold until later in the summer.

Bennett Okotcha is another name who certainly deserves some attention from Sooner nation. The Coppell, Texas standout has been in contact with Oklahoma since mid-May and was in attendance at the Sooner's most recent camp, a three-day event which Okotcha was able to attend for two hours.

"I think I did pretty good at the camp. There were some good athletes up there and the coaches taught me a lot of stuff. It was a good camp."

"I haven't gotten an offer from them, but I can tell that they are really interested in me," Okotcha said about his contact with Oklahoma. "They are definitely one of my favorite schools, but no offer yet."
