Army Black Knights on top of LB's list

Linebacker Brennan Franklin who also doubles at fullback joins teammates LaRon Tarkington and Beau Kitson of St. Mary's High School who are beginning to hear from Army. had a chance to catch up with Franklin as he provided an update on his recruiting and his level of interest in the Black Knights.

Beyond Army, the 6-foot-2, 240 pound Franklin indicated that he is hearing from several other schools, along with having interest in many.

"Right now I have interest from Arizona, Arizona State, Washington, Oregon State, Northwestern, North Dakota State, North Dakota, Brown and Air Force," say the Phoenix (Ar.) prospect, who is still looking for his first offer.

"At the moment, I don't have any official offers, but I have schools having me call their coaches almost every week or every other week."

High Interest in Army

For Franklin, who plays four or five positions at St. Mary's, but primarily playing linebacker and fullback, he ranks Army at the top of his list.

"If Army would give me an offer and ask me to attend there, to be honest, I would probably accept their offer," Franklin says candidly.

"I like structure and going to a school like West Point, there is no better place."

Defensively he registered over 100 tackles and 11 sacks and provides this version of his style of play. "I'm a fierce player and competitor on the field and will do anything to get to the ball player," he said yesterday.

"I really like and play like David Pollack who was a linebacker on the Cincinnati Bengals." will continue to follow Franklin's recruiting throughout his senior football season.
