Pellum has eye on Colorado LB

The Rivals 100 and 250 were recently released and although the Ducks have their sights set on many prospects on those list Don Pellum is also watching other prospects. One such prospect, Kevin Davis, recently received a visit from the Ducks and Duck Sports Authority caught up with the Fountain, CO junior to find out more about the mutual interest between him and the Ducks.

"I'm extremely interested in them," commented Davis. "They are one of the best schools in the nation. They're kind of like my high school team. They're not a huge team but they are just so quick."

At 6-foot-2, 220 pounds Davis has great size already as a junior. As we talked the sounds of the gym rang in the background as plates where banging together. Davis is working hard to increase his size and speed and with Air Force and Colorado State his lone offers he would like to increase his scholarship opportunities as well.

Coach Pellum made the trip out to Colorado last week to visit with Davis' coaches and see him workout. He gave Davis some insight on what he needs to do to get an Oregon offer.

"He wants me to work on my speed and he wants me to come up to their camp in June," said Davis.

Davis says that he and Pellum talked on a regular basis prior to him visiting and that he has a good impression of the Ducks' linebackers coach.

"Before he came I talked to him every weekend for probably a month and a half," said Davis. "He looked at my film and stuff and he was telling me what to improve. The guys he's recruiting it seems like he really cares about them and that is something that stood out to me a lot. He seems like a great coach."

Expect Air Force, Colorado State, BYU and Oregon among others to be watching Davis' senior year unfold. With some hard work in the gym and on the field you can be sure more offers will follow. Duck Sports Authority will be right their to bring you the latest on his recruitment.
