Georgia DB to visit Vols

With the first round of summer football camps wrapping up earlier this month, Tennessee's efforts to make sure the July session of camps is well-attended by top prospects are underway. One potential target likely to make a stop in Knoxville next month is cornerback prospect Jonathan Jones.

Jones (5-10, 165), from Carrollton, Ga., is a fast-rising prospect in his own right thanks to some stellar camp performances in June. He's been on the Vols' radar since early in his junior season, and as his recruitment heats up, the upcoming month could be an important one.

In addition to seeing the Vols Jones has plans to make it to camp at Florida State and Kentucky in July. After that, he feels like he'll be ready to narrow things down to a firm list of finalists. A list he says that is almost intact, at least in terms of his own interest.

Rivals.com rates Jones as a three-star prospect.
