Bishop Kenny (Jacksonville, Fla.) wide receiver Ahmad Fullwood is a marked man.
The 6-foot-4 200 pound receiver is closing in on 20 scholarship offers, and for good reason.
Fullwood finished his junior campaign with 43 catches for 1,100 yards. He also scored an eye popping 22 touchdowns and averaged almost 29 yards per reception.
Plenty of teams took notice.
"I have offers from Arkansas, Boston College, Clemson, Duke, Georgia, Notre Dame, and a bunch of other schools," he said.
With so many school to choose from, a 16-year old might be a little overwhelmed, but the Sunshine State star is in no hurry.
"I haven't trimmed it down yet," he said. "I have plenty of time and no reason to rush."
One team that Fullwood highlighted on his offer list was the University of Georgia.
The Bulldogs offered the blue chip prospect back in October, and he immediately noticed their success on the field.
"They are a good team right now, but they are going to be really good next year," said Fullwood. "They are very impressive. I will most likely visit there when I can."
Most teenagers spend their summer lounging around or get a summer job, but this top receiver is planning for a busy off season.
"I'll be working out a lot," he said. "I'll go see some junior days at colleges and get a feel for them. I'll be working to get better."
As tense as the recruiting game can be for a recruit, Fullwood is taking a mature, and relaxed approach to the pressure by taking keeping his options open and making sure he is doing the right thing.
As he takes it easy, schools all over the country will undoubtedly spend the next 13 month calling, visiting, and offering in hopes of winning over the big time wide out.
