Taco Charlton Michigan's sixth pledge of the day

Michigan's 2013 recruiting is on a roll today. Pickerington (Ohio) Central defensive end Taco Charlton confirms that is the sixth commitment of the day, and No. 9 overall for the class.

A 6-6, 240-pound defensive end who has been timed at 4.8 seconds in the 40-yards dash, Charlton is a four-star prospect ranked No. 183 nationally in the initial Rivals250 for the Class of 2013.

Charlton was a member of Pickerington Central's state runner-up team as a junior in 2011. He plays primarily linebacker for his high school team, although he projects as a defensive end in college. That speaks to his athleticism for the position.

He is the first defensive lineman to join Michigan's 2013 class.
