Moss unsure of destination

In a Mother's Day Weekend interview with Deacons Illustrated Elizabeth City (NC) Northeaster outside linebacker Jamieon Moss said he is a soft verbal commitment to East Carolina, but is visiting other schools and does not know his college destination.

Outside of the Pirates Moss is considering NC State, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.

The 6-foot-3, 210-pound prospect has recently spoken with two of Wake's coaches.

"They're supposed to be coming to see me practice sometime next week," Moss said. "I talk a lot to Wake Forest. They were just talking about the defensive schemes and where I was going to end up being at, and just talking about the school overall; the academics and stuff like that."

He also plans to schedule a trip to Chapel Hill in the near future, so he can get to know UNC's new coaching staff.

"I used to live in Virginia, and I used to always hear about Virginia Tech," Moss said. "That used to be my dream school when I was smaller. When I first got to North Carolina UNC was the first school I was thinking about. I went to Virginia Tech for the visit it was just beautiful up there. I love the campus."

Television exposure, academic prestige, graduation rates and playing time are some of the factors that will impact Moss' decision.
