CB, Bryon Fields has Army on his radar
Three sport athlete Bryon Fields continues to gain interest from a variety of schools.
With offers already from Army, Navy and Wofford, the 5-foot-10, 168 pound speedster recently picked up two new offers from Furman and Georgia State
But according to Fields, he is also receiving interest from two schools out of the ACC, especially after camping at the respective schools.
"I've been to Wake Forest and Duke so far," declares Fields who is out of Charlotte (NC) Providence Day High School.
"I was there two weekends ago at Duke and the week before that it Wake Forest. Both are knocking on my door .... Duke more so than Wake Forest."
Fields also mentioned that he is still hearing from Army and hasn't excluded the Black Knights, although Fields was quick to admit that he has to do some further homework on West Point. "I heard from Army last week through Coach (Tony) Coaxam. It was more of a catch up call," says Fields.
"I'm not really sure what my interest level is right now, because I haven't had a chance to get up there, but it is clearly an option since they have offered me. I'm not ruling anything out."
Then there are a few other schools that have appeared on Fields' radar, along with two others that he has discounted.
"Appalachian State is really showing me interest and I'm going to Maryland on Saturday for their one day camp .... they invited me up. Vanderbilt ... I talked to them some and might be going to their camp in the next coming months," states Fields.
"However, I have ruled out Stanford because of the distance and I haven't heard from Kentucky in awhile now."
In addition to the gridiron, the North Carolina native plays basketball and participates in track at Providence Day.
As such, he can add state champion to his high school athletic resume, as he won the state title in the 400M for the NCISAA 3A (private schools). In addition, to
Fields finished the 2011 season with 5 interceptions and approximately 45 tackles.
