Hill recaps The Opening

Iowa commit Delano Hill traveled to Oregon for The Opening this past weekend looking to prove himself and did exactly that especially with a 4.44 forty time. Hill talks about the event, what he has heard from the Hawkeye coaches this summer, and much more.

Q: What was the whole experience like at The Opening last weekend?

HILL: It was fun. You had some of the best players in the country out there, so it was fun competing against them and getting to know them off the field too.

Q: Who were some of the NFL players that you got to work with?

HILL: The guy that worked with us the most was Patrick Peterson and then Darrelle Revis spent some time with us too.

Q: What was that like learning from those two?

HILL: It was great. Those are two of the best corners in the game and they know what it takes to get the NFL. It was good just talking to them and hearing what they went through and how hard they worked to get there.

Q: On the first day you did some testing and ended up running a good forty time didn't you?

HILL: Yeah, 4.44.

Q: Have you run that fast before or did that even surprise you a little bit?

HILL: That's the best time I've run, but I knew I could do it. I worked on it before I went there because I didn't want to embarrass myself and run a bad time. I was pretty happy with it.
