South GA receiver is emerging
The Peach State had many talented receivers in the class of 2008 including three in the Rivals100, so who is that top guy this year? A few guys come to mind like Jamal Patterson and Michael Bowman, but DeMario Bennett is one not many are talking about that may need to be considered by the time this year is over.
"DeMario is a very good receiver and he has good hands, great size, and the biggest thing is his body control," said Coffee Head Coach Ken Eldridge.
"He high jumps and he came in fourth in the state last year when he jumped 6-feet 6-inches. He has great body control and I think coaches like that. He is also a very good basketball player, so he is very athletic."
One group of coaches like him enough to offer him scholarship and his first offer came in recently from an SEC program.
"Arkansas has already offered me and I have been talking to a few more schools about him too."
Two more powerful programs out of the Southeastern Conference could be next to offer the emerging South Georgia receiver.
