Assault point guard liking K-State

Kansas State has attracted serious interest from yet another member of the D.C. Assault. Upper Marlboro (Md.) High School's Daryl Traynham's visit to Manhattan for this weekend's Manhattan Classic was not his first trip to the Little Apple, and, as things stand now, the 155-pound point guard seems interested in returning on a more permanent basis in the future.

"I love it here," Traynham said following the Assault's 88-84 loss to Spiece Indy Heat during Saturday's games at the Manhattan Classic. "Right now, I want to go (to Kansas State), but I'm still young.

"I'm real serious about Kansas State. I like it here. It's a family-orientated town. That's what I like about it most. Plus, (Wally Judge) and (Rodney McGruder) are coming here. I love playing with them. I've been playing with them for four years. They want me to come, and I like it here. I'm still young, so I'm waiting, but I like it here."
