Musil may be hours away from deciding

No player has more quickly found his way onto the Sooner recruiting radar than Lacrosse, Kan. three-star athlete Marshall Musil. The 6-foot-3, 220-pound Musil recently attended a one-day camp at Oklahoma's summer camp to work out for tight ends coach and offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson. In return for his impressive performance Musil picked up a Sooner offer.

Well, actually it was a bit more of a task than a simple offer as Musil came back through Norman on his way home from Ft. Worth to talk with head coach Bob Stoops. While the Sooner head man made no promises what he had to say about Musil's future was music to the talented athlete's ears.

"After I went to the (Oklahoma) camp, I went down to TCU's camp and on the way back stopped back through and Oklahoma offered me then," Musil said. "Coach Stoops offered me when I was on campus.

"He mentioned to me that they could possibly have three guys leave early at tight end, and then he said that would be my class that would have to step in there and help the team.
