Sooners Take a Shine to Sentimore

At a quick glance of Oklahoma's depth chart it would seem that the team's need at defensive tackle isn't an overwhelming one. However, with the reality that two non-seniors have serious NFL aspirations and it's clear the Sooner coaching staff must prepare for the future and the possibility of losing both Gerald McCoy and Demarcus Granger over the next few years.

One player that the Sooners have taken a shine to is Destrehan, La. four-star run-stuffer Darrington Sentimore.

The 6-foot-3, 265-pound defensive tackle recently collected an Oklahoma offer and has had a chance to speak with the Sooner coaches.

"I got a chance to talk to the DL coach, a few weeks back," Sentimore said. "His message was pretty simple, he just said they wanted me to come up and play defensive line for them."
