Leffler will visit West Virginia July 28

Five summers ago, West Virginia brought a rising senior in-state high-school football player to campus for an unofficial visit. His name was Reed Williams and he soon committed to the Mountaineers.

Williams and WVU defensive end Zac Cooper were the two most hotly recruited prospects in the Mountain State that summer. Both were 3-stars.

They were also underrated. Williams of Moorefield was the Most Valuable defensive player in the 2008 Fiesta Bowl victory over favored Oklahoma. Because he is an Academic All-American as he enters his senior season, the Moorefield native was also offered by Duke, among others.
