State's top prospect talks about visit

This past weekend was a big one on the recruiting front for Tennessee, with numerous prospects on campus. The state's top prospect, wide receiver Marlon Brown, from Harding Academy in Memphis, was one of those in attendance on an unofficial visit. The difference between Brown and most of his fellow visitors was that he spent his time checking out both the football and the basketball programs.

Brown (6-foot-5, 205 pounds), an athletic receiver with extreme size, was one of the first prospects in the 2009 class to get serious attention from Tennessee, and since last winter it would be safe to label him as one of the top-targets on the Vols' board.

He's been to Knoxville multiple times since last fall, so this trip held no surprises for him,. And while the the loss to Florida put a damper on the atmosphere of the weekend, Brown didn't consider a huge mark against the program.
