Trufant still thinking

If bloodlines matter for football players, then Desmond Trufant (5'11, 170, 4.51 electronically-timed), the brother of current Seattle Seahawk and former Washington State Cougar Marcus Trufant, should have good ones. The Oregon Ducks, hoping to tap those bloodlines and get a Trufant of their own for the future, have made Desmond Trufant one of their targets at cornerback for the class of 2009. Duck Sports Authority caught up with Desmond in order to see where the Ducks stand.

"I like the Oregon program," Trufant told us. "The coaches seem to know what they are doing. It's also a nice place. The facilities are nice, real nice. They're beautiful."

"I went down to Oregon to their corner camp," Desmond continued. "They offered me a written scholarship at the camp. I met Patrick Chung, and Walter Thurmond down there. Walter showed me a couple of things."
