UGA visits Brown, now he’ll return to Athens

The University of Georgia hosted Rivals100 wide receiver Marlon Brown the last weekend in September for his first official visit. Since then, he has been in talks with UGA weekly and the Dawgs sent two coaches to see him last Friday.

"Coach Searels and Coach Eason came up to my school around noon on Friday," said Brown. "I was walking down the hall and I saw them standing in the office. They can't really talk to me yet, but they shook my hand when they saw me."

The Dawgs have been recruiting the no. 57 player in the country hard from the get go. UGA offered Brown early and things have not slowed down as UGA is in pursuit of one of the best.

After hanging around Harding Academy for a while and talking to the coaching staff, the Bulldog coaches were seen again on the sidelines Friday night, but Brown was not happy with his performance in front of them.

"Yeah, I saw them (Searels and Eason) at the game and I knew they were going to be there. We lost to FACS by 7 points and I didn't really have a great game. I only got the ball thrown to me four times and twice it was out of bounds and the other times, I was triple teamed. I did have five carries, but it was not one of my best games this year."
