Bulldogs pickup fourth weekend commitment

Mississippi State picked up their fourth commitment of the weekend on Sunday when safety Darius Slay decided to become a Bulldog on his official visit.

The speedy 6-foot-1, 180-pounder from Brunswick, Ga., was clocked at a Florida combine running a 4.37 forty three consecutive tries.

Slay became the fourth prospect to give a verbal commitment to new MSU head coach Dan Mullen on the first visit weekend. Chad Bumphis, Dennis Thames and LaDarius Perkins all announced their decision on Saturday evening.
