Smith confirms college choice

Deciding on a school is never an easy process. It can be extra hard for a JUCO transfer, who only has two years to prove himself at the next level.

This was definitely the case for Cory Smith (6'2", 180, 4.5 40), a cornerback originally from Ocala, FL. After spending the last three years at Visalia (Calif.) College of the Sequoias, Smith is ready to move on to the next level.

After originally committing to Oregon State, than switching that commitment to Nevada, Smith has now come full circle and will be a Beaver.

"I'll be at Oregon State in March," said Smith. "I didn't come in January due to my paperwork not being complete. I have graduated with my AA in December, so I am ready to go."

And from the sounds of it, Smith might be just what the Beavers need after losing both starting cornerbacks to graduation.
