Jackson enjoys his BC weekend
Harrison Jackson of Purcellville (Va.) Loudoun Valley was also enjoying his official visit. Jackson discussed his time on campus, his experiences at the game, and updated his senior season.Joining the usual home crowd at the first BC victory of the season on Saturday, commit
"The visit was perfect," said Jackson, who is 6-foot-2 and 181-pounds. "They really made me feel special."
Jackson especially enjoyed the atmosphere at the game, and spent his time on Saturday checking out the wide receivers in action.
"They're all good and made some great plays, but I'm excited to go up there and compete too," said Jackson.
Throughout the weekend, Jackson also enjoyed his interaction with the coaching staff.
"They were great," said Jackson, who was hosted by Spenser Rositano. "We talked and they can't wait for me to get up there next summer. They were telling me what to expect next summer."
Throughout his recruiting process, Jackson has become very comfortable with Coach Mike Siravo, his recruiting coach, but his official visit developed his relationship with the staff even further.
"He's a great guy," said Jackson. "Him and the rest of the coaches are the kind of people I need to make me a better player. They push you hard during practice and then after, they act funny and cool."
Jackson was also excited to hang out with the team during his visit.
"It was great," said Jackson. "The players I met welcomed me and I felt like a team member."
With the rough start BC has had to the 2011 season, Jackson can definitely relate.
"My team is 1-3 too, so I know exactly how they feel," said Jackson. "I know they're working hard to finish their season strong, so I'm not worried."
While his team has also started off slowly, Jackson remains optimistic.
"We just had our bye week, so our mentality has been to try and turn this season around," said Jackson. "Personally I'm doing ok, but there's always room for improvement. My attitude has been that it's not about me, but the team, so I've been trying to do my best, whether if that's just blocking or catching the ball."
