Notre Dame, Kansas enter team rankings

Both the Big East and the Big 12 add teams to the latest 2012 national team recruiting rankings.

With the commitment of four-star power forward Zach Auguste, Notre Dame jumps into the rankings at No. 13. Kansas added five-star power forward Perry Ellis, which places them at No. 19.

Purdue and UNLV dropped out of the top 25 with the addition of Notre Dame and Kansas.

Indiana fans are ready for the recruiting success of Tom Crean to translate on the court, and this five-man class is expected to play a huge part in this potential turnaround. Every position is covered in this class with five-star prospects Hanner Perea and Kevin Ferrell leading the way.

New head coach Ed Cooley is making quite the recruiting splash at Providence. He has the top backcourt in the country committed with Dunn and Ledo, and Fortune is one of the top shooters in the 2012 class.

The addition of the nation's second-ranked, and most versatile, player Kyle Anderson gives UCLA's class a huge bump. Speedy point guard Dominic Artis was one of the high risers in the rankings during the summer circuit. Adams is one of the toughest perimeter players to defend in the 2012 class when he gets hot from the outside.

Sean Miller has found success on the court and in recruiting at Arizona. He has a trio of top 50 prospects committed with five-star power forward Brandon Ashley, athletic scorer Gabe York and versatile forward Grant Jarrett.
5. Pittsburgh

New Zealand power forward Steven Adams is so talented Pittsburgh might only get to enjoy him for a year. Robinson is one of the toughest and craftiest point guards in the 2012 class.
6. Houston

C Valentine Izundu
Head coach James Dickey and his staff made a huge splash by convincing the two local stars to stay local. House is a long, athletic wing with deep range and huge upside. Knowles is a slender big with quickness and face-up skills. Rounding out the class is Izundu, who is similar to Knowles but not as developed.
7. Baylor

The star of Baylor's recruiting class is versatile and talented 7-footer Isaiah Austin. He is complemented on the outside by steady point guard L.J. Rose and Rykhoek is a big-bodied interior player with good hands.
8. Villanova

Jay Wright and his staff continue to recruit at a high level. Ochefu, a four-star big man, is a force down low. His complement is fellow four-star Ryan Arcidiacono, who is a scoring point guard.

Ridley, who has a lot of size and a lot of game, is a post player who can anchor the attack on both ends. He also has a heady point guard in Felix who can get him the ball and keep the defense honest with his shooting ability.

John Beilein has a couple talented four-star wings in the recruiting fold. Robinson, III, the son of The Big Dog, has blossomed this summer into a terrific prospect. Stauskas is a versatile shooting guard with nice size for his position.

Roy Williams has secured a pair of talented backcourt prospects. Tokoto is a high-flying athlete who thrives in an open-court game. Paige is a heady point guard with a solid all around game.

Tom Izzo has a trio of skilled forwards at his disposal in his 2012 recruiting class. Costello and Kaminski have size and great shooting strokes. Valentine is small forward with a versatile game.

Mike Brey has a couple four-star recruits in the fold with Biedscheid and Auguste. Biedscheid is a versatile perimeter player with length and a high skill level. Auguste is a mobile and skilled big man who is hitting his stride. A lengthy shooter, Burgett rounds out the class.
14. Florida State

Florida State is looking forward to adding the scoring abilities of reclassified four-star shooting guard Aaron Thomas. Brandon, a four-star perimeter players, is a versatile playmaker. And point guard Devon Bookert rounds out the class.
15. Texas A&M

Billy Kennedy is off to a great start on the recruiting trail in his first year at A&M. With Reese and Caruso A&M adds a scoring combo guard and a smooth two who have significant ties to the school. Reese's father, John, is now an assistant coach and Caruso's father, Mike, is an associate athletic director at A&M.

Continuing the back court theme, Billy Donovan also has secured a quality point guard and wing scorer. Ogbueze has a balanced skill package at the point, and Frazier is known for scoring points.

Tony Bennett has secured a trio of recruits with diverse games. Anderson is a big-time wing athlete. Tobey is a skilled post player with face-up game. And Nolte is a deadly outside shooter.

Four-star post player Shaquille Cleare is a physical presence who should have a significant impact on the ACC. Layman is a talented combo forward with a smooth shooting stroke and upside. Allen, a shooting guard, rounds out the class.

In Smart, Travis Ford has landed the class of 2012's ultimate warrior. The aggressive and versatile combo guard has long teamed up and been successful with the sharp-shooting Forte. Murphy is a lengthy and skilled four who sits on the Rivals150 bubble and Wing is more of an unknown with a rep as a shooter.
24. Kentucky

Goodwin is only a one-man class at this point, but the five-star guard is as electric as they come when creating off of the dribble. Now that he's on the board in 2012, John Calipari and his staff have somebody to build their recruiting efforts around.
