BaseBald Set For Saturday
For the third straight year the North Carolina baseball team will be participating in BaseBald as the Tar Heels will team with Georgia Tech on Saturday. The third annual event is organized by former UNC bullpen catcher and cancer survivor Chase Jones and is an event that challenges fans to help raise money for childhood cancer.

Chase Jones was diagnosed with cancer at the age of an 18 but with the help of the UNC Lineberger Cancer Center Jones was able to beat cancer and go on and earn a degree from the University of North Carolina last May.

Jones has been a fixture in the Tar Heel dugout the last four years but has now taken his BaseBald mission on the road hosting events throughout the country.

BaseBald has already raised over $215,000 this season and Saturday's event has surpassed its goal of $25,000.
