Diamond Heels set to host Hokies
No. 6 North Carolina closes out the 2012 regular season Thursday when ACC Coastal division foe Virginia Tech comes to Boshamer Stadium for a three-game series set for Thursday and Friday at 6 p.m. with Senior Day set for 2 p.m. Saturday.
Seniors Jacob Stallings and Jimmy Messer will be honored before Saturday's contest for their four-year careers in Carolina Blue.
The Tar Heels enter Thursday riding a 10-game winning streak, its longest of the season and longest since the 2008 squad won 12 straight from April 9-25.
Head Coach Mike Fox has posted a nearly flawless mark against the Hokies with a 17-1 mark since he took over the program in 1999.
The Tar Heels are 9-0 all-time against the Hokies in Chapel Hill.

North Carolina-Virginia Tech Series
The Tar Heels swept the season series with the Hokies a year ago with wins of 10-4, 5-4 and 7-6 in Blacksburg.
Carolina has won 12 straight over Virginia Tech and have won 17 of 18 since the Hokies joined the ACC prior to the 2005 season.
