More on Minnesota Showdown

This past week in Minnesota, there was a high school basketball game that caught the attention of the North Carolina coaching staff.

Specifically, a pair of big-time 2014 guards engaged in a head-to-head matchup with UNC head coach Roy Williams and assistant coach Hubert Davis watching on.

Rashad Vaughn of Robbinsdale (Minn.) Cooper faced off against Tyus Jones of Apple Valley (Minn.) High in one of the more intriguing matchups of undergraduate prospects you'll find anywhere in the country.

Vaughn, currenly ranked No. 12 in the 2014 Rivals 150, had a whopping 35 points in a powerful showing in front of the UNC staff, while Jones picked up 18 points and more importantly, the victory, as Apple Valley took down Cooper.

THI basketball recruiting director Clint Jackson caught up with Vaughn's coach to get tremendous insight on the 6-5, 180-pounder, as well as more information on what Coach Williams had to tell Vaughn.
