A Closer Look: Miami Hurricanes

North Carolina continued its up-and-down season on Sunday, as they opened their ACC schedule with a loss to Wake Forest. It certainly wasn't the way head coach Roy Williams planned it to go, as the Tar Heels were beat in several ways at their own game.

Now, the Tar Heels are back in Chapel Hill looking to get things back on track before their showdown with Syracuse this weekend, as they welcome in the Miami Hurricanes for a late 9:00 pm Wednesday tip in the Smith Center.

Jim Larranaga's 'Canes, on its way to its first-ever ACC regular season title last winter, took down the Tar Heels three times, including the ACC Tournament final in Greensboro.

The Hurricanes lost most of its talent from last year and it certainly has been a learning process early on for the Hurricanes, but one could say the same thing for the Tar Heels.

Even though the record for the Hurricanes might not jump out to anyone, and they are 0-2 in the ACC, that doesn't mean the Tar Heels should take this one lightly.

The Hurricanes lost by one in overtime to Virginia Tech earlier in the season, while giving Syracuse all they could handle last week in a 49-44 loss.
