Paige returning for his Junior year

North Carolina received some good news Monday after a heart breaking loss in the NCAA Tournament, as Marcus Paige has said that he will be returning for his junior year.

"Time to move on and focus on improving this offseason. Next year has a chance to be special!," Paige said on his Twitter page Monday night.

He then tweeted to incoming freshman Theo Pinson "I never even thought of leaving, we got work to do fam."

Brice Johnson was even excited about the news, as he tweeted "Omg Marcus Paige is coming back.. I'm so excited."

The sophomore led the team in points per game, averaging 17.5 a game, shooting 44.0 percent from the floor, giving up 4.2 assists per game, and being one of the true three point threats for the Tar Heels this past season.

There is no doubt about it, Paige was one of the true leaders on the floor for the Tar Heels this year and the loss against Iowa State really put a bad taste in his mouth, as he was seen heartbroken at the end of the game in San Antonio.

Paige averaged 35.6 minutes a game, by far the most on the team, but will be having more help coming with the 2014 class of Joel Berry, Pinson, and Justin Jackson, as North Carolina is only losing for now senior Leslie McDonald.

North Carolina is still waiting on word of James Michael McAdoo, as he has yet to announce if he will be returning for his senior year at North Carolina.

However, with Paige coming back for the Tar Heels, North Carolina has their point guard/shooting guard for next season, as he looks to put together another special season as he was named first team All-ACC and one of the top players in the country.

If McAdoo comes back and with the recruits coming in next season, the Tar Heels could be looking at a special season, with several key positions being filled and with talent at all five positions.
