DeAndre Hollins, a 3-star defensive back from Jefferson High School in Tampa, FL, committed Saturday to play football at North Carolina, a source very close to the situation confirmed to THI.

Hollins, who is 6-2 and 180 pounds, mainly plays cornerback. He is the seventh member of the class of 2018 for UNC.

Among Hollins’ many other offers were from Wisconsin, West Virginia, Virginia Tech, South Carolina, Louisville and Tennessee. However, the other six schools in Hollins' final seven he released were Louisville, Mississippi State, South Carolina, Army, Tennessee, West Virginia and Virginia Tech.

UNC offered Hollins in early April and Hollins recently visited Chapel Hill. He also recently visited Virginia Tech on the same swing he was at Carolina.
