Marietta (GA) Class of 2019 wide receiver Ramel Keyton has seen a upward shift in his recruitment over the past few months.

Schools such as Oregon, Miami, Mississippi State, Auburn, Georgia, Cincinnati, Maryland, and North Carolina have joined forces with NC. State, Florida, Tennessee and Syracuse as the programs who has extended offers to the peach-state product.

The 6-2, 180 pounder got a visit a week ago from UNC defensive line coach Deke Adams, and during his short time on campus, Adams got right to business and shared his interest in Keyton, but felt he wanted to get the green light from wide receivers coach Gunter Brewer.

"Coach Adams came up and visited, he said he was going to show my film to the WR coach and like 10 minutes later Coach Morgan texted me saying I got an offer." he told THI.

Even though the Rivals 4-star prospect grew up a Georgia fan, he has aspirations of letting his recruitment take center stage and get to know all the schools interested in him.

Keyton is aware of how potent the North Carolina offense is, and with three receivers recently drafted, he knows his dreams can be fulfilled playing for the Tar Heels.

"I can see myself maybe playing at UNC, they're a great school and have a lot of talent over the years at WR." Keyton said.

UNC isn’t a stranger to Marietta High School. The staff has been recruiting highly touted Class of 2020 quarterback Harrison bailey for some time. Bailey even attended Fedora’s Freak Show last summer. Now Keyton is added to the list of targets from Marietta.

Last fall, Keyton caught 77 passes for 1,347 yards and 8 TDs, thus solidifying his stance as one of the top receivers in his class.

"My best attributes would be my catching ability, because I catch a lot of tough balls" he said. "I was aware they were interested in me because they were at some of my games even before I had an offer."

The connection between Bailey and Keyton wasn't always easy, the young duo had to work out their kinks in order to help propel a high octane offense.

"When he (Bailey) first got here it was kind of unusual, but this year I felt way more comfortable playing with him and we click better," Keyton said.

Keyton is still two years away from signing a LOI, but has an idea of what he wants to happen in the near future, and a trip to Chapel Hill is the cards.

"I want to go up there and see the campus not only for me but to see if my mom likes it there." he said.

"While there, I want to take a tour and look at the facilities and see what they have to offer academically, because I want to possibly major in architecture or accounting."

Right now, the schools that are currently sticking out to Keyton include: Georgia, Tennessee, and Florida, with plenty other programs like North Carolina hoping they can improve their stock this summer.
