4-Star KY OL Speaks Highly Of UNC, Kapilovic

KY 4-star OL Bryan Hudson has some positive things to say about UNC and OL coach Chris Kapilovic.
KY 4-star OL Bryan Hudson has some positive things to say about UNC and OL coach Chris Kapilovic.

Bryan Hudson, who stands at 6-4, 290 pounds, is regarded among the top offensive lineman in the class of 2019.

The Scott County (KY) 4-star offensive tackle is heading into his junior year with offers from Alabama, Florida, Ohio State, Louisville, Virginia Tech and North Carolina among others.

UNC is one of the programs Hudson is learning more about and he’s certainly intrigued.

"I think they have a great program," he told THI. "The coaching staff has come in and had a lot of success on and off the field. I wanted to make a visit this summer but had an injury and couldn't make it down for a track meet I was registered for. But the school is obviously very good."

Hudson has been building a relationship with offensive line coach Chris Kapilovic, whom he likes a great deal.

"I like the way he coaches and how he is always critiquing the lineman and always on them," Hudson said. "When he came to speak with my head coach, I really like him as a person and his honestly with us."

Even though he hasn't made his way to campus, the large lineman is intent on getting to a game at Kenan Stadium this fall.

"I am hoping I can get down to see a game," Hudson replied. "I'm still figuring my schedule and their schedule to see what would work so I can't say I'll make one for sure."

Hudson plays in an offense that is essentially a one trick pony. It’s an old offense, one predicated on grinding ahead but does include a lot of pulling. He’s working to get better.

"With my high school running the Wing T, I feel like one of my strengths is run blocking," he said. "I feel like I use my hands well and have good footwork. Since we don't pass at all I think I need to work on pass blocking before getting to college, although I perform well at camps. As well as keep improving my game as a whole."
