This past week, Izuchukwu was happy to pick up an offer to play college football at the UNC.

Tar Heel Illustrated caught up with the Davidson Academy standout to discuss his UNC offer and his journey to the United States.

Here Is The Interview:

THI: What are your thoughts on the offer from North Carolina?

Izuchukwu: It was great to have an offer from UNC. I can't remember the coach, because he can't talk to me for now. He was only excited to see me and told me I been offered so I showed my appreciation and he went with my coach to his office.

THI: Does anything come across your mind when you think of UNC?

Izuchukwu: Yeah, not really but I know Michael Jordan went there. I'm an international student so I don't know a lot about colleges here.

THI: How long have you been in the United States?

Izuchukwu: Two years and couple of months.

THI: In the early stages of your football career, what do you think of your game?

Izuchukwu: I don’t know, but a lot to improve on and I have learned a lot, but you know we never stop learning.

THI: Coming from Nigeria, what did you think about this new life journey?

Izuchukwu: Yeah, I know it will be different and difficult because I am here alone and new to the game.

THI: Who influenced you to play football when you arrived here?

Izuchukwu: Myself, my basketball coach back home and my role model Von Miller.

THI: Speaking of Von Miller, what do you like about him as a player?

Izuchukwu: When I came here new, I didn't know who he was until my coach told me to watch this dude. He is the best I look like him and if I work hard I can be like him.

THI: With you having so many college offers, have you considered scheduling any visits?

Izuchukwu: Still planning on getting my top schools for official visits, but not yet probably next year.
