Closer Look: Wake Forest

What a ride it has been for the Tar Heels. Coming off a rival victory over a #5 Duke team, the Tar Heels have a very quick turnaround into the weekend, as they welcome the Wake Forest Demon Deacons into Chapel Hill, not even 48 hours after the 74-66 win over the Blue Devils.
No doubt about it, the Tar Heels are on could nine with their win streak, pushing it to eight Thursday night. But North Carolina will have to bring that energy right back into Chapel Hill, as they seek revenge for an earlier conference loss to the Demon Deacons in Winston Salem.

In that game, the Tar Heels shot 39 percent from the floor, yet were able to gather 24 offensive rebounds in the game. They weren't able to capitalize, as the Demon Deacons used a huge free throw advantage to get the 73-67 win.
The Tar Heels will have to do a better job defending, as the Deacons shot 48 percent that night, as Travis McKie led the team with 16 points.
Leslie McDonald and Marcus Paige will also be two to watch Saturday afternoon, as they look to bounce back from a combined 6-of-25 shooting in Winston Salem.
Right now, these two teams couldn't be going in such different ways, as the Deacons are facing six game losing streak after losing to Maryland this past week, 71-60.
Wake Forest is 1-7 on true road games this season and have been averaging only 62 points per game in those eight games.
Something that the Tar Heels have to notice.
But can the Tar Heels put on an offensive show? Can UNC continue their winning ways? Will they be able to provide the same amount of energy in less than 48 hours?
These questions will be answered Saturday afternoon in Chapel Hill.
Tip-off is set at 12:00pm EST.
