Jesse Holley, a 6-foot-4, 190-pound WR/ATH made an official visit to Chapel Hill this weekend and came away very impressed with what he saw.
"At first, I thought Chapel Hill was going to be dry, but it is a great city with nice people," he said.
Holley is also a very good basketball player who wants to play on the hardwood once he gets to college.
"The UNC coaches have told me that they see no problem in me playing both sports in college," he said.
Holley said the UNC football coaches are recruiting him to play wide receiver.
"The coaches want me to play wide receiver because I have such great height," Holley said.
As for basketball, Holley was able to meet not only with the current UNC coaching staff, but also former UNC head coach Dean Smith.
"I got to sit down and talk with Coach Smith for an hour on Sunday," Holley said. "I learned alot from him."
Holley says he hopes to make his choice no later than next Monday, Jan. 27.
"UNC and Virginia are my leaders, and it will have to be a gut decision when I make it," he said.
Holley says UNC assistant coaches Gunter Brewer and Jim Fleming will make an in-home visit at the end of the week.
Holley was seen wearing a UNC jacket all weekend long.
"I have heard that the prospects that wear the jackets are supposed to be commitments," said Holley. "I guess we will have to wait and see."
