McDonalds All-Americans list

The 2006 McDonald's All-American game rosters were officially released Thursday morning and have four future Tar Heels among the 48 players.
Three UNC recruits were named to the men's team – point guard Tywon Lawson, small forward Wayne Ellington, and power forward Brandan Wright – and one top Carolina signee made the women's team – forward Jessica Breland.

All three players on the men's side will play on the same team (the East squad) in what will be an exciting view of things to come for Tar Heel fans.
UNC edged out ACC counterparts Duke, who had two players make the men's team (Gerald Henderson and Jon Scheyer) and Georgia Tech, who had a tandem make the squad, as well (Javaris Crittendon and Thaddeus Young).
The McDonalds website says Lawson is averaging 23 PPG, 6.1 APG, and 4 SPG for Oak Hill, with Ellington averaging 20.8 PPG, 7.7 RPG, and 2.6 APG for his Episcopal team, and Wright pouring in 27 PPG, 9 RPG and 6 BPG for Brentwood Academy.
On the women's side, Jessica Breland is averaging close to a triple double for Bertie High School in Windsor, NC at 25 PPG, 11 RPG and 8 APG.
The events surrounding the McDonalds All-American game will take place during the week of March 27 th on the campus of San Diego State University.
The week kicks off with the Powerade Jam Fest featuring a slam dunk contest and three point contest at 7 p.m. on March 27 th. No word yet on which players will participate.
After the awards dinner on the 28th, the All-American games will be played on Sunday, the 29 th, with a 1:30 p.m. EST tip-off time for the girls and 4 p.m. EST start time for the boys.
The boys game will be shown live by ESPN, followed by recordings of the Jam Fest. The girls game will be televised on April 6th at 1 p.m. EST.
